Privacy Policy

We hate being tracked across the internet. We assume you do too. Here is exactly what we do with your data—no legalese, no tricks.

What we collect and why

We collect two types of information, and only when there's a real reason to.

Analytics: If you accept analytics cookies, we look at overall patterns—which articles are popular, how the site is performing. We use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager for this. It only loads after you give consent. We don't care about your specific identity, your age, or what you bought on Amazon yesterday.

Comments and contact forms: If you email us or leave a comment, we need your email address to reply. We use it only to reply to you—unless you explicitly sign up for the newsletter. No sneaky auto-enrolments.

Newsletter: If you subscribe, we store your email address in Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to send you the newsletter. That's the only thing we use it for.

Cookie consent and your choices

Our site uses a consent banner. Non-essential cookies—analytics, marketing, embeds, and comments—are blocked by default until you actively accept them. You can manage or withdraw your choices at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Our site detects and honors GPC signals automatically. If your browser sends a GPC signal, all non-essential scripts are blocked before a single cookie loads—no banner interaction needed. You'll see an “Opt-Out Honored” indicator confirming this. Our machine-readable GPC declaration is available at techunbloated.com/.well-known/gpc.json.

Privacy laws we follow

We follow the core principles of GDPR and US state privacy laws—including honoring universal opt-out mechanisms like GPC—because we think they're the right standard, regardless of where we're legally required to. Tech Unbloated is based in Pakistan. If you're in the EU or UK, the rights and protections outlined in GDPR apply to how we handle your data.

Who we share your data with

We don't sell your data. Period. The only third parties who see any data are the services we use to run this site—Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Kit. If we ever use display advertising, our ad network partners will collect automated data such as cookie IDs and IP addresses to serve relevant ads. That only happens if you've accepted marketing cookies.

The only other time your data is shared is if we're legally required to by a court order.

Your rights

You have the right to see what data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time—every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Email us at contact AT techunbloated DOT com and we'll respond within 7 days.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and—if changes affect how we use your data—bump the consent version so returning visitors are re-prompted.
